SILLY RYKER

Yeah I know I am not the best at always blogging but I just wanted to share a couple of fun pictures of Ryker. He is getting so big and he can be so silly sometimes.

He loves to dump his cars out of this Halloween bucket and put it on his head, he ran around the house last night for so long and didn't want the bucket to be taken off.

He loves to help around the house! he is so good at getting out his wipes and cleaning everything he can reach. His favorite is when he gets to help dad vacuum!

Clearly he very much enjoys playing in the sink! He was SO upset when it was time to get out

He has been learning new things everyday and is starting to say more words every week! He is always so happy and fun to be around! Ryker always knows how to put a smile on our faces even when we are having the worst day! We truly are Blessed to have him in our family!

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO THE RYKMAN!

So Ryker turned 1 on January 7th! I cannot believe my baby is already 1.....this last year has completly flown by! He has grown so much and has learned so much in his first year. Ryker started walking at 10 months and is now running around like crazy! He can say a couple of words really good like MAMA and DADA he can also say Ball very good, he has a couple of other words that he is getting better with as well! Ryker can also sign a few things, he can do: please, thank you, more and Milk. We are working on teaching him more things to sign but for now i think he is doing quite well and is getting smarter everyday! Ryker also LOVES to read! it is so funny he will go get his book and hand it to you and then he will turn around, back his little booty up and then sit in your lap! it is so cute how he does it and i am glad that he enjoys reading time!

We had to get tubes put in his ears because he kept having so many ear infections, we actually had the procedure done on his birthday, I felt bad to do it on his birthday but it was the best time for us and for both me and willy to have the day off and be able to spend the day with Ryker on his birthday! He handled everything very well and we have had no problems with the tubes so far! To me he seems like he has had alot more energy since he had them put in.

So at Ryker's 1 year checkup he weighed 27 lb 4 oz he was in the 94% for weight. he was 31 inches and was in the 95% for height! now we all know he kind of has a big head! LOL (that just means he is really smart) but he was in the 97% for his head! so all around...he is a BIG GUY!

Long Weekend.....so much fun!

So I got to have a long 4 day weekend over the 4th of July, and it was so nice to have that time at home! We went swimming on Friday with Amber, Alek, Addie and Sadie! we all had alot of fun! I got Ryker a new little floatie for swimming but I dont think he liked it all that much, he seemed to have more fun and splashed more when he was being held close to me.

My Friend Jessica was here from Nebraska to visit, so on Friday night after wearing Ryker out swimming we went to have a bbq, and Jessica got to meet The Rykman for the first time! i have to say he was the center of attention!!!

On Saturday the 4th we went up to Sugarhouse Park with Willy's family. We got up there at about 1 and stayed all day to watch the fireworks...it was a long day but we all had so much fun!!! hopefully we can do it again next year! We had alot of YUMMY food and lots of games and toys to keep everyone entertained all day....my personal favorite was that badmitten. We had tournaments between each couple and it was a BLAST. Willy and I....well we sucked (mosly because of him, haha) we only won 2 games all day, but we both enjoyed ourselves! I wish I got a video of Willy playing! you would think with as athletic as he is, that he would rock at badmitten, but nope, he was so funny trying to hit it. Once it started getting dark we had to start putting everything away to get ready for the fireworks...i was so excited to see Ryker's reaction to them....and well he slept through the entire thing! during the Finale he started to kind of move around, but still never woke up! And then Alek actually fell asleep during the fireworks...but i am not surprised, he was so worn out from playing all day and had been up for like 13 hours. Anyway we all had a TON of fun! I really hope that we can do it again next year!

Yeah so that is our 4th of July weekend! We all had a blast but were all exhausted by the time sunday night came!

Such a Big Guy!!!!

So I took Ryker to the doctor yesterday because he hasn't been feeling the best, so I just wanted to get him checked. He has a Cold virus, and they can't really give him anything, so we are hoping that he will start feeling better soon! I feel bad for my little "Big man". So when they weighed him at the Doctor, he weighed a whopping 20 lbs 3 oz! He is so big! we go in a couple of weeks to his 6 month checkup so we will see how much he grow in a 2 week period! Aside from Ryker being so big he is learning so many new things! He is doing Awesome at sitting up on his own! The rolling over needs some work still but he will get there. He also likes to take his plug out of his mouth and try to put it back in his mouth. It is actually quite entertaining watching him do this because he hasn't quite figured out how to let go of the plug once he gets it in his mouth. Amanda and I were on our way back from Bountiful on Sunday and he did this for a good 15 minutes. We were laughing so hard because he couldn't figure it out, finally he just sucked on the plug with his hand holding on to it! Then i figured I would be nice and helped him out, once he had the plug in his mouth without having to hold his hand up to it he right asleep...it must have wore him out!



This is when we were at Sugarhouse park a couple of weeks ago! We had a good time playing on the swings and going down the slides!

This is all three of us on Ryker's Blessing day, he did such a good job! He was so cranky because his teethe were bugging him right before the blessing started, and i was kind of worried that he would scream through the whole thing, but as soon as it started he didn't make a peep! We were so happy that it turned out to be such a beautiful day and everything was perfect!

I thought this was such a cute picture! The Rykman snuggling up with dad! I guess I should have taken the full picture because Brewtis was right down by Willy's legs....all of my boys together!

Crazy Hair!!!! Looks like The Rykman might need another haircut soon! We might have to Bribe Aunt Desi into cutting it for us again! :)

4 months already!!!

So Ryker will be 4 months on Thursday the 7th of May. He went to his doctor yesterday and he now weighs 17 lbs 10 oz. (he is in the 92% for weight) and he is 27 inches which is the 99% for height! I felt so bad when he got his shots.....he is a very good baby and doesn't cry alot but yesterday he was not a very happy camper! it made me want to cry! but he seems to be doing much better today! He is getting bigger and bigger every single day! this morning he was actually trying to hold his bottle and put it in his mouth on his own. On Saturday he was in his walker and my mom was playing with him, and he was smiling and giggling! It was so cute to see!

Getting Pictures Taken

So we got Ryker's pictures taken for the first time over the weekend. we thought it would go really good because he is so laid back and doesn't really fuss all that much....unless you are trying to take his pictures. He was happy as could be until we tried to start taking pictures, then the screaming Started!!! we ended up having to leave on Saturday and come back to finish on Sunday. It must have worn him out when getting pictures because he slept for almost 5 hours when we left on Saturday....on Sunday we had a little bit more luck, we got a couple of him smiling but once again....he started Screaming. I think they turned out really cute and we got some good Family pictures together. Hopefully we will have better luck next time we get pictures taken.
